The Houston 19

Today we want to celebrate the victories of the Houston 19! These beautiful African American Queens all won their judicial seats during the mid term election this week!

Many Texans were saddened by Beto O'Rourke's loss to Ted Cruz, but there is still hope! The 19 women won their seats in Harris County! Harris County is the largest county in Texas and the 3rd largest county in the country.

The 19 black women who won on Tuesday are Sandra Peake, Judge Ramona Franklin, Judge Maria Jackson, Germaine Tanner, Angela Graves-Harrington, Cassandra Holleman, Tonya Jones, Dedra Davis, LaShawn Williams, Latosha Lewis Payne, Linda Dunson, Toria Finch, Erica Hughes, Lucia Bates, Ronnisha Bowman, Michelle Moore, Sharon Burney, Shannon Baldwin, and Lori Chambers Gray.

We are extremely proud of all 19 of these women, and we can't wait for them institute much needed justice in the Houston area! This win is not just a victory in Houston; it's a victory across the whole state of Texas!
